GMTC graduated the course "Mechanisms of Oversight and Accountability of Security Services", which was organized in cooperation with the Independent Commission for Human Rights (Board of Grievances) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, with the participation of 22 trainees and 18 training hours.
This was in the presence of the GMTC's Director of Training
staff Colonel /Osama Obaid and Professor Islam Al-Tamimi from the Independent Commission for Human Rights along with representatives of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The course included a group of lectures and training workshops that focused on the concepts of internal control and accountability mechanisms, enhancing respect for human rights in the work of security services, in addition to topics of investigation and trial according to the military judicial system and the role of the media in oversight and enhancing transparency.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were distributed to graduates and the importance of investing the course outcomes in supporting efforts to develop security work within human rights standards and the rule of law was emphasized.
