GMTC graduated the course “Firearms Use Code”, which was implemented at CTI with the participation of (23) trainees from the security establishment, as part of GMTC's ongoing efforts to enhance compliance with legal and professional standards in security work.
The course aimed to enable participants to have a sound legal and practical understanding of the principles and controls of the use of force and firearms, in a way that ensures the protection of lives, respect for human rights and adherence to applicable laws and regulations, in addition to enhancing the ability to make responsible professional decisions according to the principles of necessity, proportionality and gradualism in various field circumstances.
In his speech, the Commander of CTI staff Brigadier / Ashraf Abu Sultan, stressed the importance of this course in establishing a culture of legitimate and responsible use of weapons, stressing that adherence to the Code of Use of Firearms constitutes a fundamental pillar of professional security work and contributes to strengthening the rule of law and protecting society.
He added that GMTC is keen to implement qualitative training programs that keep pace with professional and legal developments, contribute to raising the efficiency of members and build their capabilities, which reflects positively on field performance and enhances citizens' confidence in the security establishment.
