GMTC graduated a map reading course, with the participation of (14) trainees from various security agencies, after completing an intensive specialized training program in map sciences and field navigation.
Participants received intensive training that combined theoretical and applied aspects in map science and field navigation, including measuring distances, studying coordinate systems, using a compass and dealing with the Google Earth program “Google Earth”, in addition to analyzing Earth shapes and contour lines and their field applications.
The representative of the Turkish team, Captain /Guitar Greith, praised the level of discipline and interaction during the course, stressing the importance of this type of program in developing specialized skills and exchanging experiences.
The course leader, Lieutenant Colonel/ Khalil Freihat, also confirmed that the program focused on raising the accuracy of dealing with maps and enhancing the ability to employ navigation tools in the field efficiently.
For his part, staff Brigadier General/ Ashraf Abu Sultan stressed that the integrated map reading course represents a qualitative addition to the specialized training path, as it provides cognitive and field tools that contribute to raising readiness and enhancing performance accuracy in various work environments, stressing the importance of investing in practical training that directly reflects on the efficiency of members and their ability to carry out tasks with high efficiency.
