Major General/ Habes Al-Sharouf gave a lecture for the Constituent Leadership Course (31), during which he discussed the concept of military leadership and its role in enhancing the efficiency of security institutions and their ability to face challenges and achieve tasks efficiently and competently.
Al-Sharouf stressed that military leadership is based on responsibility, vision, and the ability to make decisions and influence subordinates, noting that the success of the leader is linked to his ability to direct the team and invest his potential to achieve goals.
He touched on the most prominent pillars of successful leadership, including discipline, responsibility, and self-confidence, in addition to planning, communication, and dealing with field situations skills. He also reviewed the concept of leadership by mission and the importance of making decisions under pressure, in light of what the nature of security and military work requires in terms of speed of thinking and accuracy of assessment.
He concluded his lecture by emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with contemporary challenges and rapid developments, and the necessity of constantly developing leadership skills to raise the level of readiness and efficiency.
