Conclusion of the torture crimes course in partnership with the Independent Commission for Human Rights

GMTC for Security Forces concluded the Torture Crimes Course, which was held in partnership with the Independent Commission for Human Rights, as part of joint efforts aimed at promoting human rights principles and consolidating commitment to legal and national standards related to the prohibition of torture and ill-treatment.
During the course, participants received a set of specialized legal and human rights knowledge, which focused on enhancing understanding of human rights concepts and ensuring adherence to national and international standards in dealing with individuals while performing security tasks, which contributes to strengthening the rule of law and protecting human dignity.
In his speech, Mr. Anas Bawatneh, Training and Awareness Coordinator at the Independent Commission for Human Rights, stressed the importance of these courses in spreading human rights awareness and consolidating the culture of respect for human rights within the security institution, praising the joint cooperation with GMTC in implementing specialized training programs.
Staff Brigadier General/ Ashraf Abu Sultan, Commander of CTI, also stressed the importance of this course in developing legal and human rights awareness among members of the security services, in a way that enhances professionalism, discipline, and adherence to national and international standards while performing duty.
