Deputy Chairman of GMTC Brigadier /Bassam Al-Jarbi opened the course "Mechanisms of Accountability and Oversight in the Security Institution", which was organized in partnership with the Independent Commission for Human Rights and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, at the Red Crescent Hotel in Ramallah, with the participation of trainees from various security services.
The course will focus on enhancing understanding of accountability and oversight mechanisms within security institutions and developing professional competencies in accordance with national and international human rights standards, with an emphasis on integrating human rights principles into security work and applying best practices to ensure accountability and transparency, in a way that enhances trust between the security institution and society.
This course also represents an important step towards raising the level of institutional performance, refining trainees' skills, and promoting the values of integrity, transparency and accountability in security work.
