GMTC in partnership with national institutions, opened the work of the third national conference under the title "Employing Psychological Sciences in Palestinian Security and Military Environments", with wide participation from leaders of the security services and representatives of official and academic institutions.
For her part, Professor Dr. Gultan Hijazi, Chairwoman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, stressed the importance of scientific research in serving the security reality and enhancing the efficiency of the security services in dealing with challenges.
Dr. Assia Al-Qawasmi, President of the Smart University College of Modern Education, also stressed that the conference constitutes a scientific platform for discussing psychological issues related to Palestinian society and its security institutions.
Staff Major General /Mahmoud Haroun, the head of GMTC delivered a speech in which he pointed out GMTC's keenness to invest in psychological and cognitive sciences in a way that reflects positively on the level of training and security performance, stressing that developing human competencies and enhancing training capabilities are two basic pillars for enhancing security performance at various levels.
For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Interior/ Ziad Hab Al-Reeh, stressed the vital role played by GMTC in building security capabilities, praising its initiative to hold this national scientific conference that seeks to link scientific and practical aspects, in the service of Homeland and citizen.
In the context of the conference, dialogue sessions were opened and discussions of the submitted scientific research began. Researchers discussed a group of specialized papers that addressed the conference's themes.
It is noteworthy that the conference will continue for two days to continue discussing research and exchanging scientific experiences between participants.
