GMTC in partnership with national and academic institutions concluded the third national training conference under the title: "Employing Psychological Sciences in Palestinian Security and Military Environments"
During his speech staff Major General/ Mahmoud Haroun, the head of GMTC thanked all participants for their presence and effective contributions, stressing that the continued holding of such conferences reflects the security establishment's insistence on training and development despite the circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through.
He explained that the choice of the conference theme came in response to an urgent institutional need to consolidate psychological resilience and achieve a balance between security requirements and psychological considerations, in addition to promoting a comprehensive vision that enhances the efficiency of security work. He also stressed the importance of subjecting each new member to specialized psychological tests to ensure his eligibility and competence, while following up on the implementation of the conference recommendations to ensure their actual impact.
The conference was rich in valuable scientific presentations, as thirty peer-reviewed research papers were presented that addressed the most prominent topics that formed the core of the conference, starting with enhancing job satisfaction and morale and raising the efficiency of members of the security forces, through confronting pressures and psychological warfare, and benefiting from organizational psychology and technology in the security environment, all the way to psychological assessment and guidance and the role of the religious factor in supporting the mental health of workers in the security sector.
Research has also demonstrated the vital role of these axes in developing the security and psychological performance of members, emphasizing their importance in enhancing their capabilities and skills within the security work environment.
