Today, GMTC discussed ways to strengthen relations and develop areas of joint cooperation with the European Union Mission, during a meeting that brought together , Head of the GMTC Staff Major General / Mahmoud Haroun with the Head of the European Union Mission, Ms. Karen Limdal.
The meeting aimed to discuss prospects for future cooperation between GMTC and the European Police Mission, which would contribute to supporting and developing training programs and raising the efficiency of members of the Palestinian security forces.
During the meeting, Major General / was briefed on the vision of GMTC and the approved training plans to develop the capabilities of members of the security forces, in line with the requirements of modern security work and the approved professional standards.
For her part, Ms. Karen Limdahl reviewed the role of the European Police Mission in supporting work with the Palestinian police and the justice sector, in addition to transferring specialized international expertise in various related fields and specializations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing joint communication and coordination, which contributes to developing the security training system and enhancing the capabilities of members of the Palestinian security forces, in accordance with professional basic and international standards that serve the rule of law and the justice sector.
