GMTC and Khodouri University Sign Memorandum to Enhance Training and Academic Cooperation

GMTC of the Palestinian Security Forces strengthened its partnerships with academic institutions by signing a memorandum of cooperation with Palestine Technical University – Khodouri. The memorandum aims to expand the scope of joint work in the fields of training, education, and applied research.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Head of GMTC, Major General Mahmoud Haroun, and the President of the University, Professor Hussein Shenk, along with a number of officers and academics from both sides.
The memorandum aims to exchange expertise, utilize available resources, and develop training and educational programs of mutual interest, meeting the needs of the security establishment and serving Palestinian society.
Areas of cooperation include implementing specialized training programs, holding joint workshops and seminars, organizing field visits and practical training exercises, and exchanging scientific studies, research, and technical expertise.
The memorandum also stipulates the acceptance of university students into practical training programs, subject to available resources, and the provision of university facilities for joint activities. Furthermore, it allows for the publication of scientific research in journals and conferences of both parties. In this context, Major General Mahmoud Haroun affirmed that this memorandum comes within the framework of the GMTC’s orientation towards openness to academic institutions, noting that "strengthening partnerships with universities constitutes a fundamental pillar in developing the training system." Both parties emphasized that this partnership represents a qualitative addition to the path of cooperation with educational institutions, given their role in supporting sustainable development and enhancing the integration between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
