GMTC participated in the opening ceremony of the Civil Defense Center – Crossings and Borders, in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley Governorate, Dr. Hussein Hamayel, the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Akram Thawabta, His Excellency the Chairman of the General Authority for Crossings and Borders, Amin Qandil, and His Excellency the Jordanian Ambassador to the State of Palestine, Issam Al-Badour, along with representatives of various security forces and official institutions.
This opening came as an affirmation of the importance of the center in enhancing readiness and rapid response to accidents and emergencies, which contributes to raising the level of public safety and developing the services provided in the crossings and border sector, and the region in general, in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency and professionalism.
GMTC`s participation comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation and integration with various security and national institutions, and supporting efforts aimed at developing the joint work system in a way that serves the national interest and enhances the security and safety of citizens.
